Laboratory technology is the key to the growth markets of the life sciences sector, and Switzerland plays a leading role worldwide in this key technology. With around 25,000 employees, the national laboratory technology manufacturers today generate approximately CHF 5 billion in sales, with 95% of their products being exported (Toolpoint, 2020). However, as the laboratory technology industry in Switzerland continues to thrive, with many Swiss companies representing world-market leaders, the market is also advancing quickly and demands the best talent.
At the House of Lab Science, we recognize the need for well-trained engineers and project managers who can keep up with the rapidly evolving industry.
To meet this need, the Lab Science Academy was established to provide the laboratory technology sector in Switzerland with a translational research center and further education programs for professionals across all ages and walks of life, to further expand Switzerland’s strong position in this large and continually growing market.
In partnership with Kalaidos University of Applied Sciences, we have created the CAS FH in Project Management for Lab Automation, In-Vitro-Diagnostics, and Analytics study program, to provide future lab professionals not only with essential knowledge and skills, but numerous benefits for their career as well.
The certification received from the International Project Management Association is recognized worldwide, giving participants a competitive edge in the job market both in Switzerland and abroad. The program also provides an opportunity to network with industry professionals and experts, enabling participants to gain insights into the latest trends and advancements in the field.
The hands-on training and practice days included in the program give participants real-world experience in project management for lab automation and IVD, making them a valuable asset to any organization in need of such expertise. By joining the CAS FH in Project Management for Lab Automation, In-Vitro-Diagnostics, and Analytics, participants will also receive access to the House of Labs online community platform, which offers career opportunities, a member’s directory, and a network of industry professionals, allowing participants to continue to develop their skills and advance their careers well beyond the education program’s end.
By enrolling in this study program, professionals across all ages and walks of life can invest in their future and position themselves for success in the exciting and rapidly evolving field of laboratory technology.
